Three Tourist Destinations

The planned was to attend the Halloween Party in Ugnayan Center. It was an election of officers too but it changed drastically because i got bored in waiting for Ate Melba. I admit i'm not a fan of waiting, i got easily irritated when i wait for too long. Ate Joy was kind enough to noticed i am getting pissed-off so we decided to have an adventure.

The weather was crazy. In the morning it was winter but at noon it was hot, like summer. Funny thing was, our clothes was for the winter. (hahaha) We waited for the store to open because i needed to buy a new sandal fits for the long walk.

Gosh, Ate Melba came at around 1pm. The 8am meeting time but i'm okey with it because we had a chanced to see all the nice spot around Taipei City. We went to Botanical Garden, Chiang Kai-Shek Park and Taipei Zoo. We set aside the main purpose why we took our day-off. We never made it to the Halloween Party.
What: Taipei Zoo
Where: Muzha
When: October 31,2010
Taipei Zoo is the largest zoo in Asia. It was founded in 1914, was a private zoo owned by a japanese Mr. Oe. After the world war II has ended it became a public zoo.
The Main entrance, right side is the ticketing booth. Tickets, adults NT$65 while kids are NT$40. Transportation is not a problem. From main station going to muzha its the last stop so it's not quiet hard for us. No complications for the first timer like us. We just enjoyed the ride.

Destination: Botanical Garden
Where: Nan Hai Road, Taipei City
When: October 31,2010

The Botanical Gardens are home to a beautiful lotus pond and large gardens lined with a wide variety of plants and trees. The walkways are dotted with signs explaining the classification of different flora, making a visit here quite an educational experience. Sitting on a bench under the covering of the tall trees is a great way to relax. The gardens are so vast that it is easy to forget that you are actually in a large city.

The garden was established in 1921 and has always been the landmark of Taipei citizens. Due to the large number of species of plants, Botanical Garden has always been a great place for academic research or artists’ photographing and painting place. This eight hectare garden contains 17 districts with various plants. It has over 1500 species of plants that includes trees, succulent herbs, robust flowering plants, elegant gymnosperms, ferns, and medicinal plants among other species. The highlight of the garden is the lotus pond.

The Bridge. When you're walking ing the wooden bride you will feel the nature, like your in the forest. The humming of birds, the sounds of leaves, and the wind, perfect escape from the busy city and loaded work.

The atmosphere could have been very nice but they have nothing in bloom. There is a large pond and walkways. It was a huge disappointment. The very famous pond in which home of lotus and other plants were off season. Not a single flower float, no such luck. :(

The entrance of Museum. The very friendly tourist from Australia voluntered for us to take a picture. Thank you. :)
